    SAKO 85 bedding info ?

Sako recoil lug bedding If, and ONLY if, the front action screw threads through the bottom of the recoil lug(as on previous Sako models)........the lug bottom would also need to be bedded. Not doing so would cause action flex, as the front action screw is tightened. Hope this helps. Kevin

    Firing Pin effect on ignition

Hey Butch......... This pic, from a few years ago, may be of some interest. Yes......the primer did not blank.....it pierced. The 40XBR 17 Javelina had it's bolt bushed by Greg Tannel, and FP turned to 0.060" with a 0.045" protrusion. The old Wolff 32lb. spring had been left in........putting...

    Sako 6PPC rifle

I have two of the Sako PPC rifles. The 22PPC-BR rifle, with target trigger, is very good on PD's......shooting the 40BT at 3900 fps. The second rifle, a Lightweight Hunter 6PPC.....I re-barrelled. It's now a 17PPC.....and is a great calling rifle. Pic below. Note that the factory rifle is a...

    Wayne Lapierre's (sp) speach

Gents........you might want to google "Harrold ISD" about selectively armed personnel. Here, in North Texas, Harrold has been "armed" since about 2007......without incident. A good plan put to good use. Merry Christmas......you too, Al N. Kevin

Neck turning. Hand or motor powered?

I used a cordless drill set-up for many years.....until I built the set-up below. NO comparison. I also measure the neckwall thickness runout for each turned case....well below a "tenth" TIR. Using carbide turning mandrels is nice. Kevin

Is There Such a Thing as a GOOD Shooting Related Movie?

How about "Never So Few"? A war movie....yes....but with plenty of firearms, movie stars from a time gone by.......and, of course....Gina L.( Liz Taylor only wished she was as beautiful.....IMHO). One of my favorite movies. BTW.....there's "Joe Kidd", with Eastwood and Duvall. Kevin

What powder for 20BR with Berger 55gr bullet?

Probably not much help......but I've had good results with VV-N550 with the Berger 50LTB, in my 20BR. Although the barrel has a 10.0" twist, I may try the new 55's. Works great on PD's though. Kevin
