    Stumbled across this tip for preventing rust on a lathe

    Fluid film is great stuff. I use it on my vehicles to keep rust away. Great as a spray for the chassis, and I put it in the doors tailgate ect. The odor is not unpleasant.

    Reaming Die Blanks

    I use one like this as well, I hold the pusher in a drill chuck. My bore in the pusher I made is about .050" larger than the reamer shank. The pusher I made does not come in contact with reamer, the pusher is made to push only on the reamer holder. Hope this helps you out

    There was a thread a while back that had a cats head bushing/ bearing that was fitted to a steady rest. This set up would allow fine tuning of the setup.
