    Fast!!!

Davids post piqued my interest in that in the beginning days of Hunter BR ( wasn't involved in it back that far) I would have thought cycling rounds through a mag would have been allowed. I was surprised when I could not find any wording such as "loaded by hand, one round at a time."...

    Fast!!!

David Halblom- I can't find anything in the IBS rules to confirm that. For that matter, I can't find any single shot requirement....even for group shooting.

    Fast!!!

I know of only one (1) competitor who shot in the AR class for several IBS score matches last year here in PA. This year he's moved up to Hunter Class...... and getting better scores. If they truly could compete you would think they'd come enmasse for the bragging rights.

    Please critique this bench

Having designed and built concrete benches for two club ranges, I have went from block leg construction to poured legs (sonotubes). I got this idea after seeing vandals shoot up the block legs of the new benches while under constuction at the Sulphur Springs (PA) club. It also offers the best...

    Rear bag sliding and alignment

If you're pistol grip ends up touching your rear bag ....what Boyd said. I also agree about making the stock more slick...I use well used dryer sheets. I also use a Farley and Gator bag. The Gator does not incorporate a built-in donut like the other Edgewoods, and I got movement from this 25#...

    Accurate AR???

Lee...Lee...Lee...just when I thought we had you focused on the straight and narrow road to BR stardom......your attention is diverted again....by an AR none the less (insert unhappy face) I'm more than a little disappointed here ( insert ANOTHER unhappy face). You need bench-time, there's...

    Odd problem with a trigger

Primers that are not fully seated can cause that "click.......bang." Lee auto-prime tools that don't get periodic lube on that white-metal cam are notorious for wearing and causing this. Also Re: Cryo treatment altering the thermal expansion rates?.....I do not believe that for one minute, and...

    Which rear bag?

My Gator is the standard height version with short ears, however, I also have a tall Mini-Gator with the larger ears, and after much evaluation I prefer the Gator bag, but I use a rubber spacer to get it to work with the Farley for the ranges I shoot. One reason is the Gator has leather ears...

    Which rear bag?

Bald Eagle sold their business and the new owner currently not back in production.I have an all leather Bald Eagle Bag in great shape if you need it....it's yours for postage costs. I am using Edgewood's Gator bag currently with a Farley.

    Heads up!

I am NOT the guy from the past who advocated Formica be used.

    Heads up!

This idea is too much akin to that "virtual hunting" concept, where you control an actual firearm by remote control from your own living room and can actually harvest game across the continent. If BR competition is going the way of lasers and mini-monitors, well then count me out. How about...

    problems with my 25-06

"Why would you bed the barrel?"................perhaps because there's a vid out there by AGI that shows exactly that...... epoxy bed the whole length of the barrel in addition to the action. I've seen it and told a friend that was NOT the way to do it, but he insisted on doing that method on...

My first 600 yard match St Louis Pics up!!

Nice pictures. Great looking range.....love those benches built with sonatubes......a lot more leg room and more vandal proof (idiots shooting into them) than block (CMU's). I would recommend to cover the scope lenses during cleaning. Is your rest set-up pictured? How about pics of your range...

    Any Experience with 222 Remington?

I still compete, on occasion, in BR (score) with a .222, a Rem. 700 built for HV competition. It is a super cartridge, very low recoil, very accurate, easy to load for, not as expensive to shoot as my 6 PPC or 30 BR. I basically built it for nostalgic reasons, it was my "go to" groundhog...

Mod 70 and the Brux bbl

That's impressive results. If it were mine I'd unscrew the brake and take it to a local BR clubmatch with a couple of wet towels, a bottle of Excedrin,a Past recoil shield and recoup some of your wise investment.
