    Win Featherweight flyers?

This has always been a problem with the Win featherweights. Usually a good pillar bedding job will help a bunch but the thin barrel heats up so fast, it will always wonder a little. Let is cool and shoot the third shot.....where does it go? Probably where the other two are. Hovis

    Simple cleaning rod question.

Mike, I'm glad they have the issues worked out. Have you ever seen one shatter? Hovis

    Simple cleaning rod question.

Haven't looked at any in years but I never seen one that was straight. The problems might have gotten fixed, I just don't know. Hovis

When is the 6ppc brass being oversized in a F/L die? (Jack Neary tutorial video)

The best discription with pictures is in Tony Boyers book. However, there are three measurements. 1. Shoulder to Base length - this shows how much you are pushing the shoulder back for headspace. 2. Shoulder Diameter - this shows how much you are sizing the brass at the shoulder. 3. Base...

    tuning by group shape

One other thing, might want to double check whether or not you have a good seating depth. The single hole on the target (first target) amd the single hole on the sighter are oblong and the ring around the hole isn't even. Sure sign of seating depth being off a little. This will make a load more...

    Chargemaster combo..... (a few questions)

In my opinion, the best upgrade you can do for the chargemaster (besides having good power) is the insert for the powder tube that David Moore makes, he is on 6mmbr.com This replaces the McDonalds straw a lot of people use. I tested it and out of 20 dispenses, I only had one that was .1 light...

    Kelblys KLP stock

Have you checked the balance of the rifle? Any rifle that jumps up in the front is usually one of two things: 1. Rifle out of balance - front to light. 2. Rear bag is sticky to the stock during recoil or rides down. Hovis

    Blue Box 220 Russian

Jack, This wasn't my brass, I'm just turning and fireforming for him. I've already turned it all (74pcs) and scrapped around 5-6 pcs but that's not including the ones that turned funny. I was going to see how they fireform and hold neck tension. I do have the blue box and can get lot number or...

    Removing stock tape

Depends on whether a stock is painted or not. This is the recommendation by a stocker/painter. 1. Non-painted stock - used hair dryer to warm and use lighter fluid if not easy to remove warm. 2. Painted stocks - Go slow and use lighter fluid. Hovis

    Blue Box 220 Russian

I'm going to look some of this over with a loop and see if I can get some idea of what happened. I have gotten a few emails from people stating the same thing I did. I was really hoping, and still am, that this is an isolated problem. Hovis

    Blue Box 220 Russian

I just turned some blue box 220 russian for the first time last night. Was something changed? This stuff turned liked crap. Very inconsistant feel in expanding and that carried though on the cutting. I was turning for a .268 NK. 74 pcs Pumpkin expander and turner 1. After expanding, four...

    Powder Choice

If I could only buy one LT32. Why, it can be shot in a variety of temps and humidities, you just have to become knowledgeable about how it reacts. Bascically, - When it's hot and dry, shoot low charges (27.5-28.5) - Cooler and humid, higher charges (29.0-30.5) These are just ranges, my...
