    Smoking at the range

fUNNY I agree most are X smokers. Of course it's hard to tell when they hide behind a pin name. I am a smoker and most of my shooting the last 30+ years I traveled with none smokers. I had no problem not smoking in the cars or trucks with them. I also tried not to smoke around none smokers or...

    Wilson dies advice please

Lube What I have seen when lubing the neck and full length sizing is a little to much on the neck can dent the shoulder. I do use carbide bushings and only lube the body, none on the shoulder or neck. Also to much or to little lube can change the dimentions of the neck. But what do I know, 32...

    Wilson dies advice please

Bushing How much are you sizing the necks? You don't need to size anymore then .002 or .003. I'm not sure but Wilson bushing used to be soft. I would use the Redding coated if you can't do carbide. I always full length size but I never put lube on the necks. Bob Dodd

    bad primers--etched bolt face(picture)

Primers Years ago federal built or rebuilt their primer dies, they edm the primer form. The problem was they didn't polish them enough and left pits in the corners, you could see on the primers. Under loads they would blow out. This is not to say that the primers you have didn't have another...

    IBS bolts-out rule

Not at me I don't want anyone at anytime with a stripped bolt or not pointing a rifle in my direction. I know for a fact that people have stripped bolts and put live rounds in their guns in the loading area. If you give just a little on the no bolt in gun someone could die. If you don't...

Bushing I'm thinking the only way a bushing would work, is if it were as long as the block.

Bushing A bushing glued to the barrel could be one way to hold it without screwing up the bore.

Rail Gun for testing barreled actions

I'm putting together a rail gun for a test fixture. This will be used for barreled actions smaller than we use in unlimited matches. I'm concerned about how much torch should be applied to the screws. Anyone tried this before?
