    Production Pistol Shooters??

Chris, not trying to run you off or anything but you might want to try posting over on the Speciality Pistol Forum . They all seem like a good bunch what little posting I have done on that forum. Here is the link : http://specialtypistols.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x Good luck, Rodney

SE Regional match Unaka July18 and 19

Jerry, a match is scheduled for Saturday but I haven't talked to anyone who said they were going. I'm going to Roy's match at Reidsville this weekend so I won't be shooting at Oak Ridge. Saturday will be the first match I've missed at Oak Ridge since they started 600 yd BR there. It's just too...

6-284 load help and maybe RL-17?

I ran loads on Quickload using the bullets you listed and RL-17. It looks like RL-17 is a little on the fast side for the 105 Amaxes but this is what the data showed . 48.3 grs of RL-17 under the 87 gr. Vmax=3324 fps.. 45.5 grs RL-17 under the 105 gr. Amax= 3272 fps. I used 66.23 grs of water...

    Piedmont 600 yard Match

Larry, I agree it was a great match and everyone seemed like they had a good time and there was a lot of good shooting going on . I bet'ya that shooter that missed his relay is a real dummy. LOL! Rodney

6mm Norma BR. or 6mm BRX?

I don't think it is that no one has an opinion but that it is really hard to back our opinions with hard data as proof that our opinions are correct. Both the 6 BR Norma and the 6 BRX are inherrently accurate. That the 6 BR Norma is the parent cartridge for the 6 BRX, 6 Dasher , 6 BRDX etc...

Vote for a new Laupa 6 BRX Case

Lapua 6 BRX Survey on 6BR.com Personally I would like to see a factory 6 BRX as it is significantly different than a 6/6.5x47 L. Here is how the survey is worded on 6 BR.com: Should Lapua Produce a Factory 6BR Improved Case? 1)No. Wildcatters can already form BRX or Dasher cases. 2)Maybe...

    Brux barrels???

If you have a chance look through the equipment lists for IBS 600 yd. BR matches and you will see more and more Brux barrels in the top 10. You will see even more Brux barrels in this years matches and for good reason. Rodney

    Case sticking in Wilson Die

If you send your seater body to Wilson with a few cases they will polish out your body to fit your cases for no charge except I think they ask for $6 or $7 dollars (I can't remember exact amount)for shipping it back to you . Rodney

    measuring ojive?

The Sinclair tool is an accurate method to measure a bullets bearing length. However the accuracy has a lot to do with measuring each bullet exactly the same way every time. If you plan on measuring a lot of bullets I would suggest the Tubb's Comparator it takes some of the human induced error...

    2009 Agenda Items

Danny, There was no cut-off at the IBS 600 yd. '08 Nationals at Oak Ridge that I am aware of. We could have accommodated a lot more shooters. If there were 36 shooters that was all that showed up too shoot. There was talk of having a cut-off at 48 shooters at some point in the planning of the...

    doughnuts anybody?????

K & M Carbide 4 Flute Neck Turning Pilots I developed some dreaded doughnuts in some 22 Dasher cases and used a 22 cal. carbide neck turning pilot to ream them out. At first I had to get the hang of not running the expandiron too far in the neck letting the fluted cutting pilot completely miss...

    Benchrest scope

The Leupold Var-x III 6.5-20x is a very fine scope for groundhog shooting but for egg shoots or benchrest shooting only I would suggest looking for a used Leupold 40x or 45x Competition scope they can usually be had for around $850 give or take . For IBS 600 yd. Benchrest I use a NightForce...

    which nightforce retical

You might get as many personal preferences in replies as there are reticle choices. My mentor favored the NP-R2 reticle and that is what all of my NF scopes have had as the reticle. I like the simplicity of it for 600 yd. shooting. Rodney

    Oak Ridge

Not enough shooters for a match today . Larry was there bright and early and just a few shooters but just not enough to pull targets and shoot . I would like to echo what Jerry said in thanking Larry for giving up his Saturday's to run the matches for us this year . Rodney

    Oak Ridge

I hope so and haven't heard anything to the contrary. My son and I will be heading that way and plan to be there in the morning. The weather report foir Oak Ridge has improved from earlier in the week for Sat.. Hope to see you there. Rodney

    Bridgeville MD info

For what it's worth I would suggest joining IBS before the match . There is a good chance you may win or break a record. It has happened before. Rodney
