    Crawfish

From the point of view of this newcomer - just entering RFBR .................... I had the pleasure of being at the Crawfish and meeting many of the shooters. Camaraderie was superb. Everyone made me feel right at home and offered numerous helpful suggestions. Competitors' shooting was most...

    Eley Ammo Testing

Just received new 2500XS with Lilja barrel, tuner and TM BR stock. Is testing at the Eley Range via Killough a good value or a waste of $ ? They will also tune the tuner for an additional fee. Value ? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

North American Rimfire Postal Matches- A New way to have fun!

North American Rimfire Postal Matches - Bill Buck NARPM has been the sole creation of Bill who managed it without help. Sadly, I fear the matches are over unless restarted by someone else. I do not know of anyone who has access to membership contact information as it was really a one man...

Today recd. Federal UM-22. Inside each box is clearly printed R-50. Sure sounds like a RWS spin off to me. Tomorrow, I test.

    James messer

Final update: I spent some time with James at his home today and took delivery of my rifle. It was complete, very beautiful and reasonably priced for the work done. To jerry t mcfall and Wilbur I offer my respects for protecting James' privacy and security. Should either of you need contact...

    James messer

All clear Charles Messer's home & both business phones are no longer active. I found and visited his home today. Spoke with his wife. He's bird hunting in AL. Mrs. says she'll have him call me upon his return (Thurs. or Fri., she thinks). His cell phone is "OFF". Mrs. gave me hers. If...

    James messer

I feel I should define my interest in contacting James. On approx. 3/11 last year I left a rifle with James at his place of business for some work. We discussed timing for completion and we agreed that "a few months" would be likely. I called him in early July at which time he said he would...

    Weaver T-36 scope adjustment

Looks like we're on the right track. I contacted Weaver & their techs responded ...................... partially - depends upon the scope model number primarily - adjustments should stand up, holding clicks for long time always - best to keep adjustments within the center of the available range...

    Weaver T-36 scope adjustment

Sounds like what you're saying is I'd be better off to get multiple scopes set up with Burris Signature rings and offset inserts to achieve sight-in at each distance rather than make major adjustments with elevation knob ........................ huh ?

    Weaver T-36 scope adjustment

My shooting requires frequent major sight adjustments - as much as 8 - 10 M.O.A. Will all this adjustment harm my T-36? Would I be better off having multiple scopes? Thanks.

    Lack of supplies

I guess my greatest sadness comes from the fact that my LGS was put together by an old fart (like me). It was done right! Lots of inventory. Super service. Personal customer relations. The works. Then ....................... the old man passed on - gave the place to kin, and the rest is (sad)...

    Shipping $ - a matter of Trust?

I have always specified that shipping costs will be billed when determined at the time of shipping (when shipping costs are dependant upon weight and/or destination). It's diffucult to determine, in advance, the cost to ship a heavy, front rest with bags which doesn't exactly fit into the "flat...

    Lack of supplies

My LGS, here in western NC, used to have full shelves & seemed to do a great business. Noe the shelves are bare and the employees stand around talking to each other. Won't give a customer the time of day. When I asked when he'd have more SMK #1570's, he simply said "maybe in a year or so" and...
