Can anybody recommend a good "accurizing 101" source?

I learned more from Tony Boyer’s book than from any other sources. Getting to know guys that have experience in precision shooting can be invaluable.

McMillan benchrest record question from a history buff

Here’s something: “I first became aware of the McMillans about 35 years ago when reading about a group shot by Mac in an NBRSA-sanctioned match at the Skunk Creek rifle range near Phoenix. The date was September 23, 1973, (Mac's 59th birthday) and he was shooting a 10.5-pound Light Varmint...

    Some Sniper King history

There’s a fellow on this forum who shot the Sniper King match a few times and did pretty darn good. This was uncovered trying to find out about an old bench gun. http://benchrest.com/showthread.php?105159-34-pounds-of-1960-Benchrest-Rifle

    22-250

Yep, the 22-250 can shoot bugholes. My Savage target action with a Shilen 12 twist barrel did these five shot groups at 100. Another Savage action with a Shilen 8 twist did this five shot group at 100.

    1911 Nut

dmort, That 1911 must’ve been from WWI, sounds like quite a set. My problem is I’ve sold or traded very few of the firearms I acquired. I use to be a handgun guy, built, tuned and shot the heck out of several 1911s then S&W revolvers. Now the handguns are sitting lonely in a safe. The...
