    Need help from real machinists

Al it sounds like some 316 stainless And sounds work hardened with stainless I usually drill it 10 to 20 percent less than 1018 steel and increase feed by 5 to 10 percent if I have a good way to feed it consistently. Otherwise slow it all down maybe 30 to 50 percent and keep tool cutting or...

I use all of the ones mentioned and I use the noga's the most I have repaired a few of them even the noga. What I like about my noga's I can get new fine adjust heads And the nobs are easy or quick to make replacements. The big one I can hang off the headstock for dialing in the barrel in...

Thanks it has a very light blue synthetic oil in it with moly. Just a little full so it is right above the high mark when runing.

    Ultimate front spider.

Yes it's being set up for chamber and thread for a savage action. In this setup I'm turning the shank down close to 1.0625 them I'll move up closer for the finish diameter and chamber and thread.

just to help lock them in place probably not necessary but maybe just psychological. I usually use two on each and just finger tight. Also can make very small adjustments by tightening them slitely more on initial dial in.
