    Weaver ring to base fit

I recently installed a Weaver #63B base onto which I tried to fit (previously used by someone else) Weaver #49044 and Weaver #49047 rings. Both sets were supplied with "quick detach" "square cross bolt" fittings. Neither ring would take up tightly on the base. I then tried (new) Weaver #49164...

First hand experience Testing at Lapua

Chuck - ? ......... chambered for Lapua? As opposed to what? Would proper chambering for Lapua be unsuitable for Eley or RWS? I'm getting confused.

    Back to Lot Testing

Dennis - Please post us on your experience at the testing facility. It will be my first 1st hand report. I'm particularly curious as to how many lots need to be tested to find a keeper. I'd sure like to get away with Center X ($) if I could get away with it.

    Back to Lot Testing

My thread re. lot testing Lapua kinda got off the direction I was headed. I've got a new rifle in the works. I do NOT have deep pockets. I suspect that I'll wind up using either Lapua Center X or Eley "Black Box". What are the odds that I'll come up with a good, competitive "lot" (to...

    Lot Testing Lapua

Is one supplier more likely than another to treat customers more fairly with respect to supplying lots for testing which may be available in enough quantity to satisfy reorders ? (Hope that makes sense.)

    Lot Testing Lapua

I think it's been proven that lot testing of Eley (match grades) ammo is vital to achieve consistent target results. How about with Lapua Center X & Midas + ?

    Is Brasso Safe

My Brasso is not the new "safer" formula. It's the old stinky stuff in the tin can, probably left over from my days with uncle Sam. Maybe that's why I found it to be more effective for me than the Krazy Kloth. I'll wipe it well. Thanks!

    Is Brasso Safe

I like my reloads to look fresh & new. Is there any potential harm to cartridge, chamber or barrel if cartridges are polished with Brasso then wiped with a clean cloth?

    Is bedding needed ?

I ordered the Jard 2 oz. trigger at the same time as the rifle. I'm awaiting word from Cooper re. the stock. Bell & Carlson makes a line referred to as "Medalist" which incorporates an integral aluminum bedding block. If the stock supplied by Cooper is of this configuration, I am hopeful that...

    Is bedding needed ?

I have a new Cooper TRP-3 on the way. Is additional action/stock bedding needed? Is it a do it yourself job or is a gunsmith needed? If I can do it, where do I get materials & instructions?
