My experance with a Jap car.
Bought a New Subaru Forrester, now these things are known to be bullit proof.
Well washed the car and windows, set a bottle of Windex on the hood.
The Windex ate the paint off the hood down to the bare metal.
Had about 15K on it and heard some grinding in the back, well it was a rear weel bearing,$500.00 later it was fixed.About 36K on the clock and heard grinding again, yep the other rear weel bearing.$500 later that was fixed,
The Dealership wouldn't fix the thing under warranty.
About 5K more miles on it and the clock went out.About 5K more and the speed controle went out.Had about 50K on it and heard some grinding again
It was the bearing between the motor and transmission.Went and traded it in.
Of all the cars that I have owned-from my 48 Ford on.This was the biggest P.O.S.I have ever owned.Buy another Jap car?? Not in this lifetime.
I am happy with my Ford Freestyle. No problems and it gets 22MPG around town.
