Gentlemen:
I stand by all of my statements.
The biggest hurdle this sport has is convincing someone they have to invest $3000 to $5000 "before" the can even think about showing up at a match.
Being "competitive" by whatever definition you or I want to use is subject to debate.
But a prospective benchrest shooter will never, ever be "competitive" if he or she never even shows up at a match to "compete" because of some of the well meaning advice given on these forums.
We will have to agree to disagree.
