    What is my next step?

Clark, This is an extreme example but, I had a customer bring me a Remington 700 that he said shot all over the place and asked if I could check it out. Now this rifle had been modified by one of the companies that do the carbon wrapped barrels. It was chambered in 300 WSM. I took it to the...

    What is my next step?

Ben, Is it always the third shot that is thrown out of the group? If so try letting the barrel cool for 5 minuets between each shot. Lighter contour barrels can sometimes change point of impact as they heat up. Todd

    lAWTON 7500 EXTRACTOR???

Shortening the ejector is not the solution, the solution is just the opposite, the distance that the ejector protrudes from the bolt face needs the be lengthened so it will keep the case pinned against the receiver wall until the case reaches the ejection port. This can be done by removing the...

    My new Coaxial rest

Great Job Leeroy, Great looking rest. I have thought about building one myself, but I have never had the opportunity to see the internal working of a Farley or SEB rest. I think I have just about figured out how to go about it, and when I have a little extra time I am going to give it a try...

Replace traditional 2-3 bolt lug design with interupted threaded bolt lug design?

Newton Newton manufactured his rifles from 1916 to 1919. What you are talking about doing with full diameter bolt is similar to the Weatherby MK V action. Todd

    Pillar Bedding

To me, cutting a radius on pillars when bedding a Remington 700 action is a waist of time. Remington actions are not perfectly round due to polishing and heat treating, and the OD varies from action to action. The whole point of bedding is to create a stress free mating of the action and...
