making sanding belts???

I've got a small benchtop belt sander that I can't get fine grit belts for. So I've been making them using roll stock backed with packing tape. Does anyone know of a good material for fastening belts together?

Have you tried McMaster Carr? They have a large variety of belts.

Thanks Todd, these guys do have the 600 and 800 grit silicon carbide......... and they seem reasonably priced.
