Gonna miss J.D. Hadn't talked to him for a few years and was just thinking of giving him a call to just talk bullets and current events. Tough exterior, kind heart. Good Bless J.D. Kevin

    Hand Priming Tools - 2017

I like that Tom...could see one in my near future. I've had seven wrist surgeries and arthritis the size of peas on most my knuckles so I have a question for you. Other case prep functions.....neck cleaning (inside and out), primer pocket cleaning and chamfering are other areas that are really...

    Hand Priming Tools - 2017

Small Bore Buyer, Most lots of brass for the PPC will be cleaned up with the preset primer pocket uniformers. However, yes, there are lots occasionally that the preset uniformers will not clean up the bottom of the primer pocket. Hovis

Butch, Don't know how you have enough time to shoot all those beautiful rifles. I'd rather wonder through your safes than a car show. Keep posting pics of them. Hovis

    Hand Priming Tools - 2017

I have Lee, RCBS, K&M and Sinclair. The Sinclair is my go to for benchrest. I would like to try a Century with a tray. If you want to use a set depth tool (the K&M and Sinclair can be set) you had better make sure you have an adjustable primer pocket uniformer or your wasting your time. The last...

Lapua .220 brass enlarged primer pockets

Every time I have had problems with primer pockets mysteriously becoming tight or loose and it wasn't a load problem, here is what I found. Take a new piece of brass from the lot and lay a straight ground edge across the bottom of the case. A convex case will tighten the primer pocket when...

    Cases & Overpressure

The only times I ever have had problems with cases not fitting in a correct shellholder....the extractor had a burr and was burring the case rim. Small diamond file will fix both. Hovis

Farley Black Widow action Light Primer Hits

Spring will be easier and probably cheaper....it's a standard Rem 700 spring that you fit. You can use a standard Rem 700 firing pin removal tool for the job.

Farley Black Widow action Light Primer Hits

I'm with Skeetlee, replace it with a 25 or 24 lb spring. Farley usually puts a spring in there that's around 17 lbs if your lucky. Also, on the new blackwidows, the firing pin fall is adjustable by a small allen head screw in one end of the trigger hanger. Hovis

Need a fireform 22ppc -.100 barrel for Panda

Ron, I've shot the 22-100 ppc for close to twenty years. PM me if you want and I can help you with the different ways to form brass, chambers, loads, etc. It can be very frustrating and have a long learning curve but it can also be easy. Kevin

As a Veteran, I am Appalled

The family of the man killed in Syria (former FBI agent if I remember right) is really pissed off right now.....he died because we don't negotiate with Hostage takers..... But as to what will happen to the Officer and the crew....they'll get medals. Remember, under Bush, the high tech spy plane...

    islamofascists come to Europe!

This is nothing new. Terrorist attacks by Muslims have been going on for 60 yrs in Europe. They haven't went a single year without one (not every nation, Europe as a whole). They used to bomb the crap out of dance clubs back in the seventies and eighties...I was in Germany when one happened in...
