Try installing the shaft piston side facing down, this will prevent water getting into the piston & gumming it up.

Does anyone use a Roughing reamer anymore or has everyone gone to drill step method. Would the quality of the of the chambering be a bit nicer with a roughing reamer? Your opinions are much appreciated. Thanks, Ed

What is the recommended method of getting it done without causing a lot of heat. I have seen it done with a bandsaw with the lathe running backwards. Is this a good way or is their another method without going to a coolent using saw. Thanks Ed

Does anyone make 30 cal Carbide bushings? I see 6mm but can't find any 30's. Any info would be appreciated. Ed

If the front & rear bags are lined up, maybe the side tension on the front bag is too much. You might also be unknowingly putting your shoulder into it. Best to have an observer watch when you shoot, he should be able to pick up on what's going on.

Jackie, what type of Front Rest were you using? Maybe the bad conditions made you focus more on your shots & stay consistent. Congrats on some great shooting. Ed

Are you shooting Short range benchrest or long range? It seems that the long range guys are benefiting from anneling while the short range guys are not. Is their someone shooting short range & annealing after every firing? Ed
