how can i improve the finish of my bbl threading

What kind of repeatability are you getting from your prox? I went with a 5 micron limit switch I’m getting about .0005 at 150 rpm https://youtu.be/Ncc72aKgzVY

    New build

I definitely like the idea of a barrel block you could freefloat the action seems like a great set up. It’s weird I’ve never actually seen one in person. Do you bed the barrel in the block? I can’t see why it would be needed just wondering if that’s how it’s done.

    Amateur with tenon threading question-

It didn’t really make a lot of sense to me and I’m an electrician ? I’d think 1800 rpm is 1800 rpm but the more and more I researched it It’s fairly common with single phase equipment the sign wave on single phase is more spread out than 3 phase and guess that mean something. I can attest that...

I was having a similar issues as you with a similar lathe. I know this may not be an issue your having but I’ll get to that..... I was having problems with my threads looking like . Grizzly lathe and mill

Depending on the shape it’s in and where you’re located. I think they’re in the 4K price range new. If your back east you could probably offer her 1500-2000 if you’re in west Texas and it’s in good shape with tooling the thing would go for 3800 (no joke). I have a 15 year old G4016 in good shape...

Howdy from New Mexico!!! Being my first post I’ll tell y’all a bit about my self. I started chambering rifles a couple years ago when I couldn’t find a local gunsmith without a 9 month lead time.
