I have been using a Sinclair with Fudd top and Rear leather. I am going to go to a 1 piece. I use both wood and synthetic stocks. What type of top is best and why?? I have some teflon stock tape to use up - will that make a difference? This Delrin stuff is new to me. What is the preferred set-up...

I think your spot on - gives it a chance to go to sleep before the wind can mess with it. There is not alot of weight involved.

1-16 if it gets cold 1-17 if not. Grooves - they all work. Search the word Barrel lots of opinions in here and you know what they say about opinions. This is not a very friendly forum for new guys - it's just the way it is. Almost like trap shooters

Anyone have an approx. weight of a Finn action in a sporter stock? Without rings and glass. Just need a ballpark figure and don't want to pull one apart. A guy should really write this stuff down:rolleyes:

I do know that tuner settings do need to be changed from 50yd. And it is a big change. I'll try to pimp the prone guys they run at 100. We shoot 10rds at the 200yd Hunter BR target. Cards are quicker and ammo goes further.

We have no organized 50yd here so my buds and I shoot informal at 100. 50 was just to boring and 100 seemed to limit equipment advantages. need a new bbl and was thinking about # grooves and spin drift. rpm would also enter in.

Is there a preferred twist - bore configuration for shooting @ 100 yds+? I would think it would boil down to what twist handle wind better?
