    Looking for rebarreling advise

I do trust my gunsmith I just like to compare all the opinions. To clarify I am not getting a longer barrel for the extra speed I want it for the overall weight of the gun. Gun is 15.5lbs at the moment and I don't like breaks so the little extra barrel 1.5-2" will get me a maybe 30-50fps but I...

    Looking for rebarreling advise

Looking through that bartlein of my gunsmiths it almost looks like the rifling just disapears as you look at it. Some of this techinical stuff is just way above my pay grade.

    Looking for rebarreling advise

Bartlein does make some nice barrels. My gun smith has one on his 243 A.I. and loves it.

    Looking for rebarreling advise

I am planning on rebarreling my 6.5X284 F class savage next year. I am currently thinking Krieger, but am open to suggestions. I would like to finish the barrel at around 31.5 or 32" and that is only for the weight of the gun (as I would like to keep it close to the 17lbs class) My current set...

Just started carrying berger bullet at my shop!

I just had to order 500 pieces of nosler 243win brass for my gun a customers gun and a special gun for a shooter. well Nosler was out and my distributors did have some, but it is a problem IMHO when I can order it from Midway for cheaper than I can get it from a distributor. I don't know how...

Just started carrying berger bullet at my shop!

My order came UPS and like other things I had to make a really big order to get the optimal pricing. They back ordered a lot of them so I am waiting on them still, but I did get pretty good pricing. It is definately a hard game if you only want to stock 20-25 boxes and then order 2 or 3 at a...

Just started carrying berger bullet at my shop!

Pricing is always hard because of the crazy shipping costs. I think I will be able to remain competitive though we will have to see.

Just started carrying berger bullet at my shop!

I just got my first order of bergers in the shop. 10,000 rounds of bergers just bring a smile to my face! Now hopefully they are as big of a hit as I think they will be.

    Ridgeway rifle club

I have went once and my friend has been there a bunch. It is an awesome place to shoot if you like wind and a challenge having an over 100ft deep valley running across the around the 550-600 yard mark. kinda makes the wind tricky when your trying to shoot @ 1000.

Accuracy at 100 for long range

I always start @ 100 but some people say don't get caught up with super tight groups @ 100 cuz some of the long range bullets with the high B.C. don't stabilize perfectly until 2-300. Myself, If it doesn't shoot 1 hole @ 100 I don't bother with that load.

    Speed worth it???

sounds like I am gonna just leave it be for now. When I re-barrel it next year I will take some more time to develop the best load for the gun as 14 hours before the first match isn't the most oportune time to shoot a gun for the first time. Next year I will be more prepared for what I have...

    Speed worth it???

Ok I am shooting a 6.5X284 F class and I originally worked up a load and stopped as soon as I got 1 hole groups @100 yards The gun shoots very well out to 1000 yards, but today I got some crazy info that is making me think. Originally my chrono put the load at right under 3000fps and my report...

New 6.5-284 loading and tuning advice needed

My 30" 8 twist loves the 140VLD bergers. I have loaded both lapua and nosler brass and for me they shoot in the same hole @100 and I can't tell the difference down range either. I use 49.5 Grains of 4831SC and Federal 210 Match primers.

    6.5X284 or 243 Ackley Improved ???

I work in a gun shop so it usually doesn't cost me as much as it does for most, but I end up hearing so many crazy idea's that I get caught up in the moment sometimes.

    6.5X284 or 243 Ackley Improved ???

I am not leaving the 6.5 after one match I am just looking for next season when the barrel on the 6.5 is dead. do I go with another 6.5 or something different?? I love my bergers but I understand that there is nothing that says a new barrel is gonna like them. I am shooting the 140VLD's with a...
