    Benchrest Folks

My 23 year old son is showing some interest in long range shooting. Mostly for hunting deer. He has been asking me a lot of questions, caliber, action, stock, etc..... and wants me to build him a rifle. We went to a local gun show last weekend to look for components and see what's out there to...

    Remington Model 37 Rangemaster re-bed

I have pillar bedded several Remington 37's. The 37 is built like a brick and the large flat surface on the bottom makes for a super bedding job. I like to use Devcon Steel putty, gives a super strong bedding surface and takes a long time to set-up. That means there is no hurry in getting the...

    30 BR Barrel Setback

I have a 30 Br with unknown rounds through it. I am guessing maybe 3,000 rounds. I have been shooting H4198 ans Euber bullets through it since day 1. It has been mine since new, chambered it myself. The accuracy seems to be O.K., maybe very slightly less that it used to be, maybe not. Some days...

Then my son asked me if I saw the bleach bottles in the woods where we deer hunt. I checked it out and sure enough there are...

    BR 4s Are Back

Over the last 15 months or so I have started, and participated in, a few threads regarding primer availability. Namely the CCI BR4. CCI "owed" me 3 bricks of primers and I had to wait on them due to "sensitivity" issues. The phone rang today and Mr. Coy Getman of CCI told me that the primers are...

    PPC Re-Chambering Question

I have a barrel chambered in PPC + .050" with a .263" neck. I would like to re-chamber it in standard PPC (not + .050") My problem is that my reamer is .262" neck. If I cut the extra .050" off of the chamber end and run my .262" reamer in it, the majority of the neck will be .263" and the last...

    Primer Availability

I spoke to a Mr. Coy Getman last week regarding some primers that CCI owes me due to a problem in the past. It was on 5-5-09, and the last time I spoke to him regarding this matter was 5-5-08. To the best of my knowledge, Coy is pretty far up the food chain at CCI, and I might add that Coy has...
