poi movement in load development 300 win mag

i have run my numbers on 2 different tools, jbm and quickload. you are doing something way wrong. with your numbers i could never shoot at 2000 yards. i do shoot at 2000 yards and actually hit a target ( 5 shot group and score ) you are putting in something somewhere wrong

poi movement in load development 300 win mag

you need to learn how to use software. and read. quickload: 1.3 at 200 in a 10 mph wind , is NOT 10.4 at 20 mph. go read the input data and try again maybe consider some common sense in your answer.

JBM 230GR 30 CAL AT 2900 FPS 4900 FT, 87*/20% WITH A 100 YARD ZERO a SIXTY MPH wind will move that bullet 7.9 inches there is a reason to shoot big heavy bullets at long range. for the record, maybe 1 mph with 2-3mph gusts..few and far between.

so i am going to re-shoot with a second scope, but alas i have no name brand scopes for 200 yards. i am going with a early taiwan 4-16x at 100 yards. i actually reloaded the same cases with the same loads, plus 5 for sight in. will remove the current scope and rings and go with new rings with...

I Bought Something Today That I Really Don’t Need

I shot a ruger super redhawk, 7 1/2", in a 50 yard steel match for about 10 years, it was called MAGNUM HANDGUN MATCH because it took a 44 mag to knock over our steel. i started with 240's, went to 255, then 280, then 300's. in my alloy the 300 came out at 292, and at over 1100 fps the steel...

poi movement in load development 300 win mag

ok i do not think it is a bad scope...it shot 3 shot groups at each point of impact. i have just never seen a poi move so much with such a small change in load.

poi movement in load development 300 win mag

i put together an inexpensive 300 win mag target rifle. just started load development,,,berger 230 at over 2800 fps i just did three 3 shot groups from some earlier data. load 1 went 2" right of center, elevation fine. at 200 yards load 2 went 4" right load 3 went 8" right elevation always good...
