    EC Tuners

The reason I ask Is in his "Introductory video" on Youtube he shows the adapter and screwing it on to a Rimfire barrel. It seemed to me to be against the conventional logic for tuning RF rifles but I know things change sometimes. Pete

Fall in Love, At my age?

I've been struggling with the #2 Harrel 30 BR die I have had for years, it not sizing the butts of my cases enough so what I've done for years is use a 308 small base die as an extra step in my reloading process. So, I was talking this over with one of my shooting pals and he suggested I try his...

    Imr 4198

I've used Reloader 7 for years both in the 30-44's I use to shoot and 30 BR's. I am shooting it in my 30 BR VH rifle still. This summer I have been using Tubal 2000 in my 30 BR HV rifle and it is doing pretty well. I had 16 Pounds I got in a trade a few years ago so thought in the absence of H...

Which dies to use for short range BR in 6PPC?

A friend has one of the LE Wilson Full Length bushing dies and let me try it today. He has a Redding, which isn't too bad, a Harrell 2.5 and the Wilson. He said he thought the Wilson was a bit more aggressive than the other two. I ran one case through his Redding then lowered the Wilson on to...

    Sons and Daughters

I worked on the genealogy of two of my family line last winter. Two of my families have been in this country since the 1600's and have been in Maine since the 1750's. Interesting that in some of the information I found was the fact that one of my aunts in 1760 married a young man and gave birth...

    Sons and Daughters

I always found this to be a mixed message as well. Young men are expected to SCORE and pushed to it or were when I was young. Now with "The Pill" realistic people make as sure as they can be they don't have to bring up grandchildren. Nature drives humans to IT and there is no denying IT will...

    Sons and Daughters

Human nature hasn't changed any in my 77 + years or even before that. Lots of people have raised grandchildren since the beginning of time. Pete

    Imr 4198

One of my shooting friends is using IMR 4198 in his 30 BR this season and it's working well for him. Bulky but he is getting good results from it. Basically, he was able to get it and it worked out fine. Pete

    6 Beggs loads< anything new?

Yesterday I ran a string of 24g LT-32. Found a one bullet high group with 24.6 but the rest were scattered. I'll try a string of 25's next time to see what's there. I have H 4197 and will try some of that if the LT 32 doesn't respond. I have more LT-32. Shooting 67gn BIB. Pete

    Newbie questions

I like RR RE Both my 6 power guns are RRR's. My Rimrock however is LRR and I like that except for the limited amount of room on the left side, often, on benches. With a RRR, there is usually all the room one would ever want or need. Years ago I watched Kent Harshman shooting his RRR and...

    6 Beggs loads< anything new?

Ive just got a 6 Beggs together and about to try to find a tune. I searched through past discussion on loads but they are old. I'm wondering if a "Go To' powder and load has become in common use. I would appreciate whatever help I can get here. PM me if you don't want to publish it one here...

30BR Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Die ?

Welll, I use cases a long time. I think most people retire brass after a year or two but I'm still using brass that is well over 15 years old soooooooo. Ergo, I need more push. Pete

30BR Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Die ?

If I were going to buy another Harrell die I would order a #3. Once cases get some age on them, the #2 wont push them back enough or at least mine never has. I have a small base 308 die I use to squish them but it adds another step to the reloading process. I've bought a couple of Hornaday dies...
