A member of our club had an Arnold roller top rest delivered on Wednesday so I will have some information soon. I know the roller top will damage a painted stock, and the stock tape is not much help. The rollers cause it to bunch up. I`m keeping a close eye on the results because I have a Ro-Tex laminated Dymalux stock and have been considering switching to a roller top. However, the Dymalux stock is as hard as a rock and might hold up well on a roller top. I'll report back when I have more information. The shooter has three benchrest rifles and one has a wooden stock. It will be interesting.
