Wild River Air Rifle (Grants Pass, OR) - USARB Report Indoors January 9, 2019

We had a full house today with 10 shooters. Congratulations go to Tony & Chris for shooting
750’s. (It was their first each as I understand it.) Additionally, several shooters had individual
250’s. Note, Bill missed a 750 by one point. Bummer!

Steve:

Is the Open Class (Ron) being shot at 50 M or is it shot at 25 M?...What are the differences in power and gun mass vs. HV ?

AZ,

Our indoor matches are shot at 25 yards. Ron's Thomas is operating between 27 & 28 fpe.

Thank you Steve...That is what I thought, but since Ron's Open scores are below his regular HV scores I thought he might've been shooting at 50...This is interesting!

we believe that open class especially indoors should be shot with an open class gun
so we shoot Beasts 16.2g at 30FPE
try it
it can be fun ;)

There we go Dick....Another gun and a few more pallets of pellets for the "Pellet Hoarder"! :D
I've never shot 16.2 Beasts nor above 22 ft./lb. with a .177...That is why I made so many questions, it seems like fun stuff and I will prepare my other Steyr for that...Not the right gun for that much power but OK for initial testing I guess.
