Who builds cases for rail guns?

Randy Burgess makes great railgun cases and carts. If there are any better, I have not seen or heard of them!

This ain't just some of Wilbur's BS....

If you make a rail gun cart/case you'll be sorry. Sure, carts are cool but when you add the weight of the cart to the rail it won't be cool in a few years. Evaluate how you're gonna haul the damn thing, unload it, and load it back up.

If you can't bear wrapping your rail in a blanket, then build a box for each half using 1/4 inch material. All's you need is something to keep it from getting trashed on the trip. Yeah, I know about rotating benches. The few times you have to rotate will be largely offset by the number of times you don't.

Of course, if you only shoot the rail at the Nationals and have plenty of room and don't mind some serious aggravation...build a fancy cart. Don't half step when you build it either. It has to be fancier than the others....spinner wheels and such. Spinner wheels with adequate diameter for gravel and wide enough apart to prevent tipping. Oh!...and make sure you include a place for cleaning rods, patches and solvent...and a cover for when it rains.

Don't need a cart, just a pair of boxes to haul it to and from the range.
