What rifle for a 12 year old for deer?

just a bump for the guy looking at rifles for his twin 12 year old daughters.
 
Thank you for the info on this thread. Going with a Rem MOD 7 in .243 for next season.
One other (besides recoil) important detail to consider is setting the scope up correctly for their eyesight/relief. Found that one out the hard way even though others had warned me.
