Studio Pro on Amazon. They make a really great tri-pod for a good price. I know of several people using them and even bought me a set.

the only ones i saw were 45" tall...way above bench height.

They have 22 pages of light stands.
It is easier to screw a ball swivel to your light stand to level your flags than trying to level a tripod.

SOOO True!!

My second set of flags (20-some yrs ago) were black and white stripey things with a hanging plastic windicator, the flags weren't great out here in my mild west coast conditions but they had circular levels and ball swivels...... since then, GOTTA' have 'em!

I was going to mention that but figured he could "spike" the legs to keep them upright. Rimfire shooters typically use those three legged stands and do just that.

I spike the legs on mine using aluminum gutter spikes. They're lightweight, set out where you can reach them and beat trying to jam that silly center-post in between the rocks in this left-coast glacial moraine and alluvia from the Missoula floods
 
I used the Colman latern stands from Walmart, they go up to 7 ' I cut the top of and made delrin inserts and pressed a 1/4" stainless pin in and pressed the delrin insert in the stand they go down under 3 '...... tested stable to 30 mph at 7' high....... jim
 
we have breezes for sure...ben avery br range.
typical practice day , i think mild enough for no tie down.
on match days i have seen sand bags and spikes added.

i have tent pegs and am going to add a couple of small sand bags.

they got here today.
need to buy or make adapters.
the pivot shown above looks good.
 
tripods phase 1

phase one....no ball joint
wonder why the alum adapter is so big..
look at the last pic.

when the ball joints get here i will be able to level each one then mount the flag
