Hey Guys!
With the support of VihtaVuori Powder and Lapua, I will be conducting a N133 Rifle Tuning session on Monday evening (9/20) at approx. 7:00PM (after setting flags) in the loading pavillion at the NBRSA Nationals in Kansas City.
All are welcome! There is no cost to attend this N133 tuning session! I will also be handing out some great gifts after my tuning session to shooters who attend!:)
I will be covering the following tuning and match strategy topics during my session:
- Proper neck-turning and prepping your Lapua .220 Russian cases
- Full-lenght die/Headspace set-up and maintenance of your Lapua .220 Russian Cases
- Tuning for different conditions with N133 Powder
- Interpreting your target's bullet holes and group formation
- Undertstanding and using Mirage!
- Match strategies...
- Open Q/A...

Anyone ever thought about taping Jacks presentations and putting them on You Tube for the rest of us who can not make the Nationals???

Sure would be nice and very much appreciated..... =)

Jack,

Sir, I wonder if it would be possible to hold the session on tuesday evening instead of monday? I know several that do not shoot the unlimited portion of the shoot and show up on Tuesday. Just thought there might be more at your training session that way.

I've been to Jack's class................ even if you don't shoot you NEED to go and listen AND take notes on what Jack has learned an is passing on for free!!! I just thought I didn't know how to read the wind.............. Jack told me, Jeff you don't know how to tune a rifle! He was correct! Thanks for everything Jack.

There will be Lapua .220 Russian brass and VV N133 powder available for sale from Graf and Son's at the NBRSA Nationals as well. I will be at the range on Monday and Thursday!!!

The YouTube or DVD idea is a very good one. Please record Jack's session.

The DVD...

I hope he opens with his famous karaoke rendition of "Smoke on the water". I know the rest of the material is excellent but it needs a good intro.

I have been wanting to see one these sessions for a while now.....does anyone know an eta on the length of the session as I may try to record it if its OK with Jack

I can't speak for Jack but I think the idea is to get more people out to the shoots and to help them shoot better. A dvd is not going to promote people to get out to the matches and to work with Jack in a class would be far better than any dvd.
 
I agree with John. I look forward to taking part in the session.

Coming from Manitoba and the shortage of shooters and mentors I have rely'd on the internet. It has helped the learning curve but it is still NOT THE SAME as being there in person. When you have issues or are struggleing it is next to impossible to figure it out on your own. I have been struggleing all season. Hopefully getting there early (Friday afternoon) will maybe give me some time to get a little help and guidance in trying to figure my woes out.

Regrettably, based upon the start of the Sporter/LV bag guns on Weds. morning, I will not be able to hold my tuning session on Tuesday evening. There's just too much to do on Tues. evening trying to shoot and prep gun(s) for the morning.
Would be glad to try an answer any of your questions during down times any other evening of the week though...

Dear Mr. Neary,
I can't make this years Nationals but I will be at next years(Midland,Texas). Can I be the 1st one to sign up for next years class?

Tape or DVD

I agree, being there is the best, however, when you can't, anything is better than nothing.

Consequently, if a tape or DVD is made of Jack's session I woud appreciate a heads up from anyone.:rolleyes:
