USBR National Rimfire Match April 13

Angelina Rifle and Pistol Club will host the United States Bench Rest (USBR) National Rimfire Match on Saturday morning April 13th, followed by the Regional Match in the afternoon. This competition will have some of the top marksmen in the nation. Want to join the fun? Come on down and have a good day shooting with us. The USBR target is considered one the most difficult targets in the shooting sports. Classes are open to anyone and all are welcome. Classes for the national match are Sporter, Custom and Unlimited. A regional match will be held in the afternoon. A Texas BBQ lunch for the competitors will be furnished.

The USBR National Rimfire and Regional matches are open to all persons. Entries should be made before April 1, 2012.

We expect quite a few sponsors this year. We gave away over $3,500 in gifts from them. Everybody was a winner. The results from last year's Regional and Texas Shootout is attached as a PDF. They are some pretty good shooters. Come on down, we'd love to have you shoot!

ARPC web site

Angelina Rifle and Pistol Club's web site is now active. The registration form for the USBR National and Regional match will be posted soon. The registration cost is $20 per class for shooting in both matches. Lunch will be provided. The picture is from last year's regional. ARPC has 15 heavy stable benches and it is covered. Ample parking is available. We hope to see you there.

Update on USBR National Rimfire Match

There will be a Texas Shootout for cash prizes (Cash Cans). The rules are simple: there is a $10 cash entry fee for each of the classes (if you entered all three it's $30). Your best score for the class from either the National or Regional will be ranked. The top three entrants in the class will split the cash can: 1st 50%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 20%. The club is contributing $100 to each class. So, if there were ten entrants in a class first place would get $100, second $60 and third $40.
Plus whatever you take home as prizes from our sponsors.

Results of USBR National and Regional

Our thanks to AR&PC for hosting this national and regional match.
There was no wind and conditions could not have been better. The clear blue skies and barely moving air was something to behold. Several new shooters did well and we all hope that they enjoyed the day. Our supporters and sponsors provided some wonderful gifts.
I hope next year will be just as great for USBR's signature national event, wherever it is.
