US World Team

Let the USA bring home the GOLD.

Good Luck to all the USA Shooters and lets show them that we can.

And to our neighbor Canadians let the Gold shine on your shoulders but allow the USA bring home the GOLD.

Safe travels to all!
Good Luck to all the teams attending! Hope everyone has a great time!
US team.... Make us Proud!
Jack

They arrived safe and sound

Most teams have now arrived and they are all busy getting setup and used to our little range.

Good luck to all.

Rob,

At the event in South Africa, I seem to remember that the shooters had to use a local, somewhat unfamiliar, powder. How does that work down under?

The Australian management team planned ahead and bought enough Vit 133 that each competitor can buy 2-4lb each if they want.

Of course ADI powders are available here as well (most of which are sold in the USA as Hogdon products), but there is no pressure on competitors to use these if they prefer 133.

From down under (at the range)...., the weather here today is strange to say the least. It is 91 degrees, 2 percent humidity with wind gusts of 50 mile an hour. I understand that tomorrow will be much better for tuning loads.

Everyone is having a great time so far!

Thanks for the post from Down Under. Keep us updated if possible. Tony

From "Down Under"... weather yesterday was much more reasonable. The range is cut into a hill, like a bowl. Flags move in all directions at the same time with no apparent pattern or intensity. It would be very difficult to run your group in the same condition, unless you are super fast. Today is our last day of practice, everyone seems to have their equipment working and tuned to the conditions using the supplied powder of V-133/2011 Temps are in the high 70s/low 80s and the humidity is low (25-30%).

There is no shooting on Sunday, just flag set up and mandatory rifle inspection and verification.

People here are very friendly and accommodating.

Lee

On a personal note, the "teamwork" is amazing and it's nice to get 1:1 guidance from some of the best shooters in this sport!
