Hello shooterfriends.

A couple of weeks from now on we might be able to join You on this postal idea. Here is some information to chew on meanwhile.

Finland had their first nationals ever in airgun shot by the WRABF rules. Because the winter is still hanging around the corner we had to shoot indoors. Heavy aircondition at the range and sometimes severe mirage near the cards did make the shooting challenging. No full cards were shoot because we simply didn´t manage the false winds. Sporters, LV and HV mixed together to save time, the winning team shooting HV Steyr. We hope to shoot a official postal match at the next outdoor competition. Time and place will be announced real soon. Welcome to join everybody.

Hi Jens,

Is this everybody - USA, or worldwide?

We'd be more than happy to arrange an air postal match with Finland. We have a match in June and the UK Nationals in July/August from which we could draw the scores.

The USA would be pleased to join Finland in a postal match. We hope better weather is coming.

For airgun we have three(3) scheduled matches this summer,
16th of June we will shoot LV, 25 meter
15th of July we shoot HV, 25 meter
19th of August we shoot HV, 25 meter

of course all countries are welcome to participate, when thinking about it, why does it need to be a two country match, it could be as many as possible.
Our matches will be on national level as they will also be qualification matches for EC 2013. I guess there will be more clubmatches but at this day I have no information about club match dates.

We did never fill in any equipment list but from what I remember 80 percent of the guns were STEYR 110 in different modifications. Most used pellets are JSB, it has to do with the fact that they are easiest to find in bigger quantities and they mostly shoot well in most guns. There was one Feinwerkbau nr ???? that shot very well on testday but once the fans were activated the accuracy disappeared. I think I know why, it was set for 10 meter shooting, ie almost no power. The guys dididn´t know the rules and we forgot to ask and tell them that they could have gone a little hotter in speed.
I will tell the match organisators to collect better data in the future.

We would be happy to join in the LV, 25m. We have a competition on the 2nd / 3rd June from which we could submit the scores.

How does that sound?

Sounds good to me, I have to find out how to contact the shooters, there´s many new ones and we havent yet collected personal information. Guess I could come up with two teams right out of pocket but I will do a survey.
 
OK Jens. We'll put in three teams and use the scores from the June match for the results.

I'll have a word with Carlo and see if we cannot get some of the Italians interested in putting some scores forward.

The USA, Finland, Italy and the UK sounds good - do you have any contacts with our Russian friends, they would be a welcome addition?

The USA is a member of the WRABF and will be participating in the 2012 World Postal Championships.

We hope that Finland and Italy will consider shooting postal matches with Team USA this summer. We will also look for other countries to offer us the opportunity.
