You asked me in the other thread what I was currently shooting. I did not want to add any more to that thread, I hope Wilbur puts it back in the archives.

I shoot a.269 neck 6PPC in Group.
I shoot. 30BR in VFS.........however, this past week end I tried out my new 1-12 twist .140 throat 6PPC with the Bart's 80 grn bullet at 200 yards. It shot quite well.

The load is 29.2 grns of 133, velocity runs about 3200 fps.

80gr PPC

Have you shot that load enough to know how primer pockets will hold up? I've shot a tad more in my 6 Grendel but it's a tad bigger. No problems with it and it likes 133, too. I prefer to stay away from 133 if I can but it does work.

Mike, no problems at all with the 29.2 load. It seems perfect fo the 6PPC . These cases had several firings on them, were some that still had tight primer pockets.

I did this on a whim. I bought a 1-12 barrel and chambered it for a .135 throat Grinch. I was trying to shoot 133 in it, and while it shot good, it didn't shoot as good as I wanted.

So I got another 1-12 Krieger, and just put my regular 6PPC Reamer in it, then throated it where I wanted the Bullet to be in the neck. The barrel is 25 inches.

In all honesty, I never even shot it at 100 yards. I built this Rifle solely for 200 yard score. So all the workup has been done at 200.

Here is what the 80 grn Bart's looks like in the case at the seating depth I am using.

The target is the last target I shot Sunday at Lake Charles in some really tough conditions. This seems to be a good shooting combination.
