Came across a book one time years ago by Philip B. Sharpe I think that had TIME IN FLIGHT chart in the back for various calibers out to 600 yards. What was the name of the book, and was it written by Sharpe or am I mistaken? Thanks

Speaking of Phil Sharpe

Complete Guide To Handloading by Philip B. Sharpe is on Amazon.
As is The Rifle In America by Philip B. Sharpe.

good reading on his and Hart's 7x61 Sharpe and Richard Hart cartridge in Ken Waters book of compiled articles. Norma now headstamps it the 7x61 Super. They apparently felt cartridge brass was strong enough so they reduced wall thickness and increased powder capacity to a bit less than the 7mm Rem mag. Its an awesome cartridge in a Schultz and Larsen rifle...both very well done up.

I've worked with the 7x61 a good bit in both a New Ultra Light Arms and a Schultz & Larsen Model 60. Never had a 7mm Remington Magnum until recently. The two cartridges are ballistically much closer than I originally thought. I had wrongly presumed the Remington cartridge had a noticeable advantage over the 7x61.
