The Very First Airgun Benchrest Match

There is one scheduled for 7-14. We have a RF match scheduled for 7-21. I'll see what we can do. Perhaps we could do a PM match during the week if there are a few folks who will committ to showing up.

Pete,

When I was getting airgun benchrest started at Pinnacle I would run the matches as follow-ups to an IR 50/50 3-gun. The first year I felt lucky if 2 or 3 would hang around. Then over the past couple of winters I've been running stand-alone matches and surprisingly, at least to me, have gotten 5 or 6 shooters coming in even when it's been a little more than chilly out, or we've had snow piled shoulder high. The one that really surprised me was this past April when my date conflicted with the first of the IR combined 3-Gun & Unlimited match down at Easthampton making me figure it would be me and maybe one or two others. Was I ever wrong as all the winter regulars came out to play with their high-priced puff-guns, so hang in there and it will come around.

Hi Pete We shoot at Salem with 2 most of the time . We are trying our best to get local interest . We have had a few show up but so fare no repeaters . I well try to make the trip to Maine after our East Coast shoot . I hope you do not give of on the air rifle shoots . We are in need of more bench rest shoots . Hope to see you in August in Salem and Maine . Rick

Oh, good Lord Paul, you sure do know how to drive a point home! I mean: LOBSTER w/drawn butter, SALMON STEAKS, LAMB CHOPS - - - aannndddd "3" PIES???? Plus BOOZE? HELL man, the only thing you didn't mention was having mint jelly for the chops.

Guess maybe I'll just have to rethink this not making the 350+ mile drive thing before writing it off so fast next time.

Paul

Life Is Good. :)

Thank You Paul for introducing me to your Extended Family and for your hospatality. I had the time of my life at "The Outing". Paul has one of the best situations I have ever seen; three famlies that co-operate on Supper Meals almost every day of the Summer, I am told. Some of the most friendy, open people I have met in a long time. Life is indeed good.

Pete,
I know what Paul and his neighbors put you through, having been there myself. What a great place and people!
A weeknight evening shoot would be fine with me even if it's an informal shoot.

Todd and Pete,
Now if we can get Bear or Max to drive and dock the boat, then life would be good.
