OP,
Take a pic of the trigger group & post it.

The difference between a Rem 40X single shot 2oz trigger group & a 40X Repeater trigger group are night & day.

hint-
The 3 lever 2oz trigger group does NOT have bolt release or safety options.

243winxb's illustration is for a 40X Repeater trigger group.

OP,
There was a 3rd option for a Rem 3 lever trigger group the "International" of which only a dozen were manufactured by Remington & others manufactured by RWHart of which these triggers have an adjustable fwd/aft shoe.

Some other variations by individuals of the Rem 2oz were copied also & easily distinguishable.

IF,your preference is to have a bolt release & safety a Trigger Tech Primary or Special will repeat as well as a Jewell HVR.

IF,you want the "Bentley or Rolls Royce" of trigger groups w/ levers a BixnAndy Tac Sport single or 2 stage is your option.

Timney triggers are NON repeatable JUNK.

bolt release and safety...so not a 2oz.
thanks

Hey Dan.......

My factory 40xbbr 222 HV wood stock(late 1980's) came with the factory 2oz. trigger.

It does have the factory bolt release, but no safety.

Just thought I'd mention.......

BTW.....they're my favorite trigger for my Remington PD rifles.
