Not necessarily related to this rimfire forum, however, for my anticipated rimfire rifle, where can I get a custom paint job for the stock (airbrushing, etc). Thanks! Barry

Here's the stock Gary painted for my Suhl just so you can see an example of his work. He has painted several stocks for the guys who shoot the high $$$ airguns as well.

Mike,

I like that work. What is a rough idea what something like that would cost?

Adrian

btw, Chad is with 10X Bullets (pronounced the same, just different spelling)

Adrian, Can I get away with just saying that I've known him for 25 years and he had almost 40 hours of labor in it:)? It is pretty complex if you look at the detail. Prices start at about $150 for a single color and go as far as you want to spend. The marbleized(sp) finishes aren't bad to do either.
I met Chad at the score Nats. I don't know why I thought it was spelled that way. Maybe cuz I don't have one of his hats or shirts yet. Great guy!---Mike

Wow - 40 hours - That's scary enough. I don't even want to know what it would cost.... I can already tell ya I couldn't afford it.

How much does your 30 Major weight? The recoil on it looked rather light.
Adrian

It's 13.5lbs. It's a pleasure to shoot. I put a tuner on a 30BR yesterday. It was the first 30BR I've shot in a little while. The first thing I said was
"d@#n, I forgot how hard these kick!" It's a noticeable difference.--Mike

The first BR rifle I owned was owned by Gary Lemons. It was pure white!
He didn't even mention his artistic talents.

Other hobbies that require highly talented air brush art are RC Airplanes, so a hobby shop might help you. Theres a guy somewhere in SC that did a GREAT job of a Tiger on a 1/3 scale plane for Leland's Toys & Trains.

Motorcycle shops could also help you out. Every bike show I have attended had an airbrush artisit on site, painting jackets & bikes.

Don't know if you would like it or not, but.......

WOW, i think most anyone likes flame jobs. I have seen some big money paint jobs on $12,000 RC Airplanes, but your talent is right up there with the best.
If you would like to paint the stock on my anschutz, email me please.

Hi Rag,

Well......... :D

I can, but I have been working on an oem job for a while now, and took on another kind of work in the shop as well, and in addition, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and since then, life has pretty much been on hold. Both the oem and my "other work" customer has been more than gracious. Once life settles back down, and I get the final bugs on the oem killed, I will start taking orders again.

What are you interested in?

Mike
