Southeast Regional 200 yard stage Unaka Rod and Gun Club

September 6th and 7th the 200 yard stage of the Southeast Regional will be held at the Unaka Rod and Gun Club in Johnson City, TN. This will be a 5 shot UNL. If you were here in the spring, you are aware that behind the firing line was asphaulted. The reply I got from the range on the asphaulting is as follows: "Regarding the RV parking: They need to do whatever it takes to ensure that no impressions/indentations are made in the asphalt. If they do not have to deploy jackstands/stabilizers, then that would be preferable. Large pieces of board or nylon blocks are usually used to distribute weight. Most RV parks with asphalt RV parking do not allow the stands to be deployed. The board of directors will them liable for any damage done to the asphalt." I don't know anything about RVs so I figured it best to post directly what I got. We certainly enjoyed the last match, and look forward to seeing everyone here in a couple of weeks. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me on here or at mk6ppc4@yahoo.com

The events will be in the order as follows Saturday will start with 5-shot UNL, followed by HV, and on Sunday it will LV and Sporter. The best time to get into the range is after 6pm on Wednesday 09/03.

the Carnegie hotel is extending to us a discounted rate of $85+tax for those staying for "Unaka Rod and Gun Club" This is East TNs premier Diamond 4-star hotel featuring a fantastic restaurant, full-service spa and salon, and the city's largest whiskey list!
Just give 'em a call directly at 423-979-6400, and mention a block for Unaka Rod and Gun Club and they will happily set you up. If you call tonight before 11pm, you may even talk to yours truly.

Starting time is 8am each morning. There will be a loading tent and a metal pavilion to load under, as well as the pistol range which right next to the rifle range seems to be a favorite spot for people to load. There are not tables under these (except for the pistol range) so you will need to bring your own. And the loading areas are not enclosed. Food is going to be available at the range.

This is the first year since 2009 that I have not been able to make it to Unaka. I enjoyed every match I attended and I really miss it. Matthew, I hope you get a good turnout and everyone enjoys the match. I wish I was there.
