I have a mig, tig and plumbers torch (joke). Sold my oxy acetaline a while back. Looks like my only option in tig. What pointers do you guys have? Has anyone spot welded with a mig?

If you were to send it off to Dan, it would take you longer to pack it up and ship it then for him to TIG it and have it on it's way back to you.

Some folks already know it all, check out his various posts. He needs to recognize his short comings. I shipped Dan a bolt a couple weeks ago and had it back 8 days from the day I shipped. He knows bolt timing and primary extraction. He uses micro tig and is not a mud dobber.

If that's the truth, then you probably don't understand it.....just sayin...

Is there a reason you’re acting like a jerk to me? Luckily there are some good guys here. Done dealing with the als and others in his sorority here, so if ya want added let me know. I’ll build great guns with or without your help so not sure why you want to act that way

Dan Armstrong..... just set back and take deep breaths man..... :)

We gotcha' covered here, no need to get in and get'cher blood pressure all up!

Go back to welding gumwrappers and aluminum foil and let this guy do it his way.....

Al, you have been on my ignore list for months and I’ve been done with you for months. I don’t look at your long winded posts.

If you don't look how is it that you can now reply. When you put someone on the ignore list they sort of diss-appear.
In regards to your question do a YouTube search and you will find what you are asking for.

trick is to have the proper jig and the method to keep the body of the bolt cool. Otherwise there is the possibility of warping the bolt body. Just to put some sanity back in the thread.

Thanks. I have those guys blocked, so I don’t see their messages. Best tool on the site. I made a jig that screws in with a long piece for a heat sink to help. Just curious what to watch for on the tig side of things. I’m no expert with tig. Only have it for my aluminum boat stuff I play with.

The story I mentioned refers to a time when Saul went prophet shopping in support of an action he had already determined to take. The prophet Micaiah blew him off and told him what he wanted to hear initially. When Saul demanded that he be told the truth. Micaiah told him that he (Saul) would die. Which he did. Over the past months you have repeatedly asked for advice/instruction about numerous projects and got pissed when some experienced, knowledgeable folks told you the truth. You also insist that you have put them on your ignore list, which is redundant as you clearly already ignore anything that doesn't fit with what you have already decided to do. My suggestion is that you go ahead and do what you intend anyway. Surely the Lord will bless your efforts. As to being put on your ignore list, I'll just have to live with that. I surely won't ignore you as it's a lot like watching a train wreck in slow motion. A person just can't look away.

Rick
