Sleeved 700

I have just removed a glued in sleeved action from an old Mcmillan benchrest stock . Used the clothes iron on the scope base method. The sleeve appears to be glued on with Devcon aluminium epoxy. Would the heat have affected the Devcon bond between sleeve and action. Should the sleeve be removed and reglued.
Any suggestions please.

Been there and done that on more than one occasion.

If you got it hot enough to break the glue bond with the stock......you broke the glue bond sleeve to action.

Like Butch says......reglue it for peace of mind if nothing else.
 
Peace of mind

It would have been nice not to reglue but peace of mind is good ,one less thing to worry about.
