Ruger KM77VT from dad.

Hello Folk's. I've been a lurker here for awhile. In 2015 my dad gave me his Ruger in .223 because it hurt his ears. It sure will if you don't wear hearing protection. One day that summer I took it to my BIL's farm to give it a try with some reloads my uncle loaded for my dad. I put a target out at the edge of the woods, 75 yards. Resting the gun on the railing of the porch I touched of a round. Not a bullseye but on paper. I chamber a second round, dam it's off the paper. Chamber a third round and back on the paper. I scratch my head and take walk to check the target. This is what I found. I hope it wasn't beginners luck.
My uncle sold off his reloading equipment and I have no idea what he used. I think it may be time for me to try reloading.

If you shot that off a porch rail you probably could shoot a one hole off a bench and a rest. Why 75 yds,? Run out of room? Ive got an old 77v swift that will shoot half inch all day. Some of them rugers shoot. Doug
 
75 yards was from the porch to the edge of the woods. I just wanted to give it a try. Funny when my BIL was mowing the grass a muskrat come out of the water at the edge of the pond. I won't post a picture. It's mom wouldn't be able to identify him.
