Has anyone tried the Plano vertical rifle case for their benchrest rifle transport to range?

Most RFBR guys I know use the Plano Airglide vertical case. I have 2 of them.

I dont know if they are even made anymore as i cant seem to find them on the MFG's page.

I have two as I thought I would like them, but personally prefer the SKB single rifle case. They are much cheaper than the SKB case though if that makes a large difference. I find the Plano to be a bit tippy in the car.

Get a couple of these. Easily fit two guns , everything proof. You will never look back.

I have Pelicans similar in size to the one's above. I like them as well, but they are so heavy and they take up a ton of room in the truck. A lot just depends on what you are hauling them in (any of them) and how heavy you are comfortable with. There are lots of good options, just have to decide what works for you. You see all of them at mathces. If you like the Plano style, try one.

To be honest, if I was just using it to go to the range, I would just use a soft sided rifle case. Light, easy to set in the car, and more than adequate for taking a gun to the range. If you are looking to really travel with it, then one of the other options is on the table.

i use soft sided tho not cheap cases
just pack them well in the car/truck/van

I have a couple too. Work great. They have been back in stock places the past week but are going quick.
