Abra target

Question my ABRA target 9 ring outside to outside is point .440 the inside of the 9 ring is .327 and our 10 ring is 1/8 where does it rank ? I gave out the wrong numbers in last post. I pulled out calipers and that is the measurement I came up with, I guess that is what they ended up to be after copying.

Differences inTargets

Been doing some checking on various targets and what size of a group would be required to get a perfect score not counting any Xs.

Lowest count and highest count rings taken into account:

2500 in an ARA would require a group size of .276" for 25 rounds.

250 in a 50/50 card would require a group size of .448 for 25 rounds.

2000 in a ABRA card would require a group size of .674 for 20 rounds.

Please understand that I have measured printed targets of all three and that might not be perfect. My math could be subject to correction and my thinking may be fuzzy.

Check me out and see what you get.

Bill,

You've got the ARA 100 ring correct at 0.276", but the IR 250 would be 0.250" + 0.224" = 0.474" and the ABRA would be 0.125" + 0.224" = 0.349". I think you used the 9-ring diameter on the ABRA target cuz that would be 0.674". Not sure where you got the 0.448" on the IR 250.

Clueless in Savannah ?

Lets not compare Apples with Oranges!!
If the ARBA target has a .250 Diameter 10 Ring like the IR50/50 & the WRABF target then a 250 will always be a 2500 on an ARA Target!
However an ARA 2500 will not always be a 250 using a .224 plug or scan program!!
Make Sense??

Help us out here Doug? So a 250 = 2500?? Never heard that one before; but since you have shot so many 2500`s,really?? ..... James Pappas once told me that Wilbur claimed to have shot a 250 /0X , I guess that would equal a 2500 too? That possibly could have been a 1250!

Thanks Husker, you are right about the ABRA target. I did use the 9 ring.
I should have used the term, perfect score, instead of the numbers.
On the 50/50 target, I took my measurement of the ten ring (.224) and added .224 to come up with .448.
