Spring isn't quite here yet, 28 degrees when I left the house this morning to go to the match. Daylight savings time is here though, we set the clocks ahead before hitting the sack last night. I think we had a few shooters over sleep this morning. We had 5 shooters show up this morning for the match, John Ayers introduced us to a new Shooter with our Airgun group, Holly. Holly has been a school teacher, and a Girl Scout leader for a number of years. And Holly has spent a good amount of time around firearms of many kinds. I'm joyed to hear that she has been teaching the Girl Scouts about the fun and safe uses of "weaponry" such as air guns, BB guns, Bows and Arrows, and slingshots, also hatchet throwing. Also teaching them position shooting, such as prone, sitting and offhand. What a great role model for them. We are happy to have her in our group.
We had Holly, Eric Simmons, John Ayers, Mark King, and myself shooting today. We had 2 classes, HV (20fpe) and LV (12fpe). We all came for the fun, and some of the fun is in the "Competition", as Holly pointed out, because as men we are "competitive" in nature. As we all know, Mark King is very tough to beat. He shot best in the LV class today with his Walther "L ? 300". John and Holly also shot with Mark in the LV class, splitting second and third. Eric and I again shared my Thomas, while he waits for his. We shot in the HV class, This time I beat Eric by a point, but he had me on "X's". This guy is really shooting well, last month I pointed out how hard these targets are and that "X's" don't come easy... Today, Eric shot a 100-3x target to prove me wrong.

Meet up with us next month, April 11, 2021. 809 E Crosstown Parkway Kalamazoo MI. We open up at 8 am, and start shooting at 9:30, 50 foot, indoors.
