I was given a pile of great parts for a 6mmBr for my daughter but the Rem 722 action is missing the bolt, I'm unsure what bolts are comparable in the Remington line up. I have two Clay Spencer barrels one has no rounds through it and the other has just what was shot to fire form some brass, 1000 of his custom bullets in 68gr, Wilson dies a few hundred rounds of brass that is turned and ready to form and a couple hundred loaded or fired rounds.

Would there be a bolt from PT&G that would be a direct replacement?

i don't think the pt&g come with the firing pin assembly, you can use a 700 bolt, couple on gunbroker both complete bolts $150.00,will need to get them headspaced to your barrel, they will usually go in the raceway, but maybe not headspace

If you already own a 700 you can 'borrow' the bolt and have the headspace adjusted to fit the bolt... you can only shoot one rifle at a time but they can share the bolt...

Dennis, it's for his daughter -- who could shoot at the same time. Many people, including PT&G, offer firing pins, springs, shrouds, etc., everything to make a complete bolt. Just not included as part of the PT&G "bolt" sale.

Thanks guys, just the info I needed. My daughter is only 7 but she thinks she needs more range than her Savage 22lr will provide, I also have to use an insane amount pink and glitter if I can, per her request!! The bolt will be the only money I have in it, every time she goes to the range the old guys flock around her and shower her with advice, praise and parts. I think a little 6BR will be just the ticket for her first center fire and she'll likely use it for deer in a few years as well.

It's always good to see a father getting a youngster off to a start in shooting.
