Is it me being optimistic or are these 100 yard shot plots pretty respectable?

Not trying to gloat, it's been a long time since I seriously dabbled with 22's so I'm honestly asking.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Yup!

Pretty fair Chad.

My Home Club runs a few Club Shoots each year and 100 YD Rimfire is one of the classes. While there aren't many real Benchrest rifles competing, there are some that shoot pretty darn well. We shoot at IBS 200 yd targets @ 100 and from the groups I have seen shot there, yours are pretty good.

Since most 22 benchrest is shot at 50 yards, most of us do not have enough 100 yards experience to give a meaningful response.

I was a sillywet shooter before I got crippled. One of my Anshutz 54 MSR'S would shoot a solid 5/8 inch at 100m pretty often.
When foolin' around on a bench I could put the bullet through the hole in the ram's head about half the time. This was using the no longer available Federal in the blue box. Sold the gun to a good shooter. Wonder what would happen if a body set flags at 100 yds and got serious with some of these good shooting bench guns?

Chad:
I've shot 100 yard Schuetzen match's for over 35 years. I'd say that's a nice group. The difference, is we didn't shoot from sand bags, but did test a lot with them. My best was 10 shot group smaller than a dime.

We shoot 100 yard outdoor iron sight rimfire matches at the Myakka City, Fl. Manatee gun club on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. We use Annies, Suhls and win 52's mostly. The sights are Anschutz and Redfield type sights. We use a NRA 100 yard RF target and shoot off concrete benches. No wind flags or scopes allowed. The x ring is 1 inch and the 10 ring is 2 inches. We shoot 6 targets and 10 shots per target. On most days, if you can not shoot a score of 100, and 7 to 10 X's per target, you will not win. On most days there is a least one 600 plus 35 to 45 X's. Best score so far has been a 600-55X. The ammo used is pretty much Eley, Fiocchi, and SK. Even with out wind flags, there are several 100's and high x counts shot during the matches. It is hard to win a match, because of so many high scores being shot. Perfect scores (100-10x) are hard to shoot in nasty winds, and yet we do see them. During the summer months there is not much wind and lots of targets are shot with one ragged hole in the X ring area. So this gives you an idea of what to expect at a 100 yard RF match like ours. At 100 yards, we have rifles that will shoot 1 ragged hole, and most rifles are pretty much stock . DJB in Fl
