Well, the 2011 NY State and Northeast Reg. Championships are over, 4 matches in two days. We had 15 shooters for the NY State Yards, 14 for the NYS Meters and NE Reg. Yards and 13 for the NE Reg. meters matches. Dennis Drake traveled from VA to shoot with us and had a pretty good weekend. Conditions on Sat. for the Yards matches were 65 degrees, constant rain heavy at times, and almost no wind. On Sunday it was mostly cloudy with about 5 minutes of sun, more wind, and rain in the afternoon. Despite the rain, both days went very smoothly, thanks in part to having Rick Ingraham, the one man target crew, help out. Thanks also to all the shooters who chipped in to help!

NY State yards:
Pete Roberson won the Sporter match with a 249-16X, Steve Brookhouse took the 10.5lb match with a 250-18X, one of five 250's shot on that target. The rest of the results are posted below.

NorthEast Reg. yards:
Jack Szysmaszek won Sporter with his best Sporter score, a 249-14X, then Dennis Drake stepped in and darn near swept the rest of the weekend. He won the 10.5lb target with a 250-18X, followed it up with another 250-18X and won the two gun and 3-gun.

NY State Meters:
Dennis Drake won the Sporter target with a 249-14X, Steve Brookhouse won the 10.5lb with a 250-16X, Al Hadfield won 13.5 with a 249-14, Steve Brookhouse won the 2-gun agg with a 498-27X and Dennis Drake took the 3-gun with a 744-44X.

NorthEast Reg. Meters:
Dennis Drake won all three targets, the 2-gun and the 3-gun aggs. He shot 248-14X, 250-20X and 249-20X for a 2-gun agg of 499-40X and 3-gun agg of 747-54X.

Thanks again to all the shooters who braved the rain to spend the weekend with us!!!!

Thanks Todd
I'll try to reach Fatback to get the other one deleted.
Guess we will have to start giving Dennis more respect.

Hi Todd,

What a great weekend...rain and all! A big thanks to you for being a great host and to Pete and everyone who else who helped. Saturday's BBQ and campfire was fun. I don't think anyone went home hungry. Job well done!

Al & Penny :D

Thank You Todd,

Ms J and I had a super time. I would like to echo what Al & Penny said plus, for us to have the oportunity to meet yet another group of great Benchrest Friends can't be beat.

Todd and the Salem Crew,
Thanks for all the work that you put in to pull off two days of shooting and the Saturday night get together. It was nice to meet some new people and see some old friends.

Best,
Michael
