My entries into a local photo competition

I know that most of you consider my photos to be less than as interesting as slug tracks on the concrete but there are a couple of you who like them.

There's a photo show and competition at a local museum that draws close to a thousand entrants from several states. I did fairly well last year, here are my entries for this year. I have hopes for a couple of them, a few others I just like but without much hope of any sort of acclaim.

#7 and #8, 'street kids' and 'weeds in a vase' except the shadow's kinda' buggered in the vase pic. Should ps it against the sky lol!

The street kids pic is very clean IMO

The cat was on a stack of towels fresh from the dryer on a winter day, cats don't get much happier than that.

Thanks for the comments.

My vote goes to the railroad spike. BTW, I think you should consider your picture of the gravel road to River Bend.

My picks for the Competition

The water droplet scene is awesome for creativity.

The Homeless people scene sends a powerful message.

Great photos Tom.

All too cold and stoic. Sorry.

Tom, I really like the "street kids" for your originality. The artist that dreamed up Gray statue, well that brilliance would have to belong to him, but finding it and setting it up like you did is well done and thanks!

I like "Gray". "Fishnets" and "Jellyfish" tie for a close second, but they're all great Tom.

What, you don't think Larry and Jeff know what men want to see???

Unless we're gay it aint about "art"...... :)

"I'on't care what ennybody sez, 'at's a good pixture right thar, Get 'Er Done!"

Now that is what we call art. It is amazing what your trained eye can see in motion while most of us would be talking or looking off. You caught the tone and the thrill and the light off the subject just right. You certainly have a gift. I still like the cat.

and besides all that, a large percentage of the "real art" in the world features The Fairer Sex...... and that's OK :)
