Lake City Brass as to Lake City Match Brass ?

L.c.

Man I know I didn't make any stuff that was used in Vietnam. Im not that stupid. That old marine found out I worked at LC and he said he loved that white box Lake City match. I knew I didn't help make it. Had a nice conversation Mr. Maier talk to you later. Doug

The cannelure, from what i have found about it,is to further to separate it from battle ammo by sight.
Also have read that it causes it to split there after a few loading ?

Dusty, the cannelure was added to allow the shooter to feel the difference in low light conditions so as to no shoot the bad guys with the 168 gr. Sierra Match King due to the Geneva Convention rules of war.

Also, the troops are not to use 5.56 ammo made in Israel to shoot the towel heads as they would feel defiled to have a Jewish bullet in them. Political Correctness at its worst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To answer the original poster, the brass was the same other than crimps and head stamp.
