It is a sad day when one of the few Supreme court justices who followed the Constitution will no longer be there to try to check the liberals. I guess barack can now appoint another like kagin or sodermayor. We who love this country better vote to keep hillary or bernie far away from the Whitehouse. James
 
it took nearly 80 years to get a ruling.
i do not see it turning around any time soon
 
No doubt, with one heartbeat, or the lack there of, the entire scope of the political debate just changed.

Here is a political reality. The Senate is in recess. President Obama could legally make a Recess Appointment that would take away the Senate's advice and Consent power.

Obama stated, “I plan to fulfill one of my constitutional responsibilities to nominate a successor, in due time. There will be plenty of time for me to do so and for the Senate to fulfill its responsibility to give that person a fair hearing and a timely vote. These are responsibilities that I take seriously and so should everyone— they are bigger than any one party, they are about our democracy.”

Now is the time when we see for certain whether the political system is well and truly skewed against the Constitution and BOR.

All BO is doing is setting up a situation where the Liberals can hold a Conservative lead in the Senate up to ridicule going into the elections. It's a cheap shot, but then Barry is the Master of the Cheap Shot, isn't he...?

It's supposed to be the peoples' government, but maybe it's time for the people to take a more direct role in that government.

Just think this goes back to 2012 when large contingent of so called conservative refused to vote for Romney. They probably effectively elected Bobo. Good bad or indifferent we wouldnt be facing this potential crisis/ catastrophe now. Lets pray congress can pony up some vertebrae and not permit such a debacle.
