Joe,

You need to do some more writing for PS this year. What about a article on old 8208 and tune?

Anyway, I'm like you, I don't really care scientifically why it happens in BR, I just want to know that it does. Heck, the most of the best scientific minds 600 yrs ago swore that the earth was flat. Keep on writing on here, yourself, jackie and a few others expound more information per line written than someone like me and others. Keep up the good work.

Ok, now the meat of my post. Are you going to be at WWCCA on 17-18 March? If so, is the range going to be open on Friday and are you going to be there?

If you are, I would like to get together with you to discuss a few things. For one, tuning old 8208 but also about the range construction. I'm getting more of the ground work done as soon as the weather here dries a little. I need guidance to make sure I get things done right the first time.

thanks

I completely agree with your sentiment on empirical science but, in the interest of complete truth, I do need to point out a factual error.

The circumference of the earth was experimentally calculated, and published in a scientific journal, by Eratosthenes in about 240 BC.

That famous calculation was done assuming both that the earth was a sphere and that the distance to the sun was very large.

So if some ignorant and repressed folks in the 1400's thought that the earth was flat, I wouldn't call them the best, or even good, scientists.

Erastosthenes was a really interesting guy, a contemporary and friend of Archimedes. If ya got a few minutes to google surf about him, it would be worth it.

Kevin

Since the 17th of March is a wed...no match that day at WWCCA. the actual dates are 17 and 18 April. The range would be open on Friday the 16 for practice. Hope to see you there.

Both I and....

.... Erastosthenes plan on coming to the WWCCA match in April.

I'll go over the range construction stuff. Mr. E will finally set us straight on this "flat vs. round" thing.

I love this sport.

Hi Kevin,
On Fridays before a Tournament. Usually 10 am. Bill Gammon, John Inman, some other hardcore shooters, and myself. Are at the range for "practice" and getting the place cleaned up. We could use your help.
Or at 12 noon the range is open for BR practice.
Range is closed at 5:45 pm sharp. For setting up target stands and flags.
Hope to see ya there.
Tim B.

John Inman won't be shooting...

on Friday and I'm not so sure about Gammon.

The Busch Lite will take a real beating thou... ;)

Mr. Krupa, are you not feeling well? Did you get too much sand in your lungs out West? The reason that I am asking is because your post has to be the all time record for lack of words.:D:D
See you at the Shamrock.

Yep....and in 600yrs, they will be saying the same about us....."how could they have known better, that was a long time ago and they weren't near as smart".

Science has proven two things....1. It's usually found out it's wrong and 2. History repeats itself. Outside of them two, it's a crap shoot.

Heck, I couldn't even get the darn month right.....told you all I need help.

Don't know if I'm gonna make it now. Both the handles on my new actions (that I got back from the gunsmith and stocker last night) came off and have to send them back to the manufacture for repair. Oh....who said new actions don't or shouldn't need any work.....wasn't me.

Kevin.
Joe might have an extra rifle........
At the last WWCCA Tournament, he was loading, for 2 people. Cleaning for one. Trying to help out 3 other people. And loaned out 2 rifles.
I was hoping to try out a Leupold 45X. But, it didn't happen again. Been trying for 2 yrs.
Anyway. Joe had his E.R. SOY points. So he didn't shoot. Just being a nice guy.
That also helped me move up a notch. :D
Thank You Joe Krupa.

Dick.
You might have that backward. Maybe, forward.
Anyways, they are both WWCCA Members in good standing. So the bar is open. After the "Practice"..........:)
